In preparation for the 2023 Nusantara Event Kharisma Octopus Festival, Kaur Regency Government Meeting

KAUR, RADARKAUR.CO.ID - In an effort to develop tourism that is based on natural culture and has a local character to become a leading regional tourist object.

As well as the Kaur Regency Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2021 - 2026 through the flagship Tourism program to support the Vision and Mission of the Regent and Deputy Regent Kaur, supporting Wonderful Indonesia, Natural Bengkulu and Visit Kaur in 2023, the Regional Government through the Kaur Regency Tourism Office held an initial meeting to form the Octopus Festival Kharisma Event Nusantara Committee for 2023.

The initial meeting was opened directly by the Regent of Kaur Regency H. Lismidianto, S.H., M.H who was accompanied by Regional Secretary Dr.  Drs Ersan Syahfiri, MM, Assistants, Expert Staff, and the Head of the Tourism Office as the leading sector for the event, which took place in the Hall on the third floor of the Regional Secretariat Building, Friday (31/3/2023).

Also present at the event were Forkopimda elements, all Heads of OPD, Secretary of State Hospital, Director of Hospital, Head of MUI, Head of BMA, Head of Regional Secretariat, Representatives of TP PKK, DWP, Head of Koni, PSOI Management, Head of Merpas Village, Head of Nasal Sub-District, Head of Relief Village Head of South Kaur Sub-District, Head of PWI, Head of SPRI, GM Radar Kaur, Head of PLN, Head of BPD, Head of BRI Bandar Bintuhan, Head of BNI, Head of PGRI, Head of MKKS, and Head of Baznas within the Kaur Regency Government.

In his speech, the Regent Kaur did not say much, but he hoped that the event would be carried out safely and smoothly from the committee formation stage up to the technical implementation stage. 

"Considering that this event is a means of promoting regional tourism, all of our regional innovations must be featured in the festival, for example various kinds of food made from octopus, special foods from Kaur district apart from octopus, other UMKM products, as well as typical traditional arts typical of Kaur district," said Lismidianto.

Apart from that, he also asked related agencies and managers of Laguna Beach which will serve as the venue for the summit event of the 2023 Archipelago Event Octopus Festival, to start from now on to organize and clean the place or even around the location area so that it looks beautiful and comfortable to look at.  " he said.

Meanwhile, as initial information from the Kaur district tourism office that the octopus festival in 2023 will be held in June 2023, namely on the upcoming 21-22 June 2023, the summit event will be held at Laguna Samudera Beach Tourism, Merpas Village, Nasal Sub-district, Kaur District, Bengkulu Province.

However, before that the event would begin with a Surfing Competition which would be held by PSOI Kaur Regency in collaboration with the Kaur Regency Tourism Office.  The Surfing Competition is planned to start on June 19-20 2023 which will be held at the Pengubaian tourist beach, Kaur Selatan sub-district.

Not only that, the 2023 Archipelago Event Kharisma Octopus Festival will be enlivened with various competitions themed on local culture (Kaur Regency) such as octopus archery competitions, melapun competitions, and octopus cone rice competitions and a Kaur culinary bazaar festival and will be entertained with  various traditional arts such as the ngeringit dance, meinangan dance, seder'ean dance, fisherman's dance, fisherman's theater and an environmental talk show will be held.

As for the general person responsible in charge of this activity is the Regional Secretary of Kaur Regency, the person in charge of daily implementation is the Head of the Tourism Office, Chair I Assistant I, Chair II Expert Staff for Law, Politics and Governance, Chair III Assistant II, Chair IV Assistant III, Secretary  I, II, III are the Sekdin, Kabid and Head of Subdivision of the Tourism Office and will involve all Forkopimda, MUI and BMA elements within the Kaur Regency Government.
